The West Bengal state government is once again bringing administrative services to the very doorstep of citizens. After the success of the ‘Duare Sarkar’ (Government at Your Doorstep) campaign, a new initiative called ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’ (Our Neighborhood, Our Solution) is set to reach even deeper—addressing day-to-day issues at the booth level.

This proactive drive, which will start from August 2nd to November 3rd, aims to quickly and efficiently resolve local concerns, ensuring easier access to government services for everyone.
What is “Amader Para, Amader Samadhan”?
‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’ is an initiative taken by West Bengal Government where nearly 27,000 administrative camps will be set up across the state. Each camp will cover three polling booths, providing a convenient, dedicated platform for residents to raise their problems directly to the government administrations.
The entire process is transparent and organized. The main objective is the program is: You don’t have to visit distant government offices for small problems—solutions now come right to your neighborhood!

What Services Are Offered?
A total of 16 vital services are available under this program:
- Drainage Solutions:
- Covering open drains and constructing soak pits and culverts to provide proper drainage and prevent water from clogging.
- Drinking Water Supply:
- Contructing new tube wells, water pipelines, water tanks to provide clean drinking water facilities to common people.
- Street Lighting:
- Installation of new energy-efficient LED and solar-powered streetlights to provide better safety.
- Public Toilets:
- Construction of new toilets in key areas to improve sanitation.
- ICDS Center Improvements:
- Repairing buildings, providing higeinic water supply,creating play areas for kids and constrcuting boundary walls to improve safety at centers.
- Primary School Development:
- Ensuring proper higeinic drinking water, providing benches to students, roof repairs, fresh wall painting and toilet renovation of school buildings.
- Pond Development:
- Excavating new ponds and building ghats.
- Waste Management:
- Maintaining garbage collection zones for proper cleaning of public places.
- Public Amenities in Open Spaces:
- Providing benches, sheds and refurbishing existing shelters for better service to the people.
- Market Area Upkeep:
- Renovating stalls, improving drainage and upgrading lightings in the markets.
- Cultural Spaces:
- Creating stages, flag hoisting zones, festival spaces and community centers.
- Public Transport Facilities:
- Passenger sheds, footpaths, transport services, footbridges and ambulance availability.
- Urban Greening:
- Open-air gyms, protecting trees and park benches for relaxation.
- Electricity Services:
- Enhancing local power supply, installing transformers and repairing electric poles for providing better electrical facilities to the people.
- Road Maintenance:
- Repair and upgrade of local roads for better connectivity and transportations.
- Miscellaneous Needs:
- Other community services as needed.

With ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’, residents no longer need to travel repeatedly to government offices for minor issues. Now, services arrives right where you live, attending your grievances much faster. This initiative is another step taken from by West Bengal state government before the election, to help the issues of the common people at the grassroots level.
Along with ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’, Duare Sarkar Camps also will be held to provided added benefits to the common people.
